It finally happened! Twin T57 03 Cobra vs AMS GT42R Evo!

from a dig that EVO would win from launch, unless the cobra is built for drag racing. but like said above both cars are super Fast

Dunno, Cobra was hooking decent until it got colder out, now it's hard to say. The Evo would need some practice from a dig because I dont think he has even tried it with the new setup. Im sure the stock axles would be pissed.

If they are going to be that way why dont they just go out and buy a supra, tell them to grow a pair and go from a dig...

Knock Knock, it's 2006 calling, it's not 1965 anymore, roads are longer than a 1/4 mile and cars dont come from the factory setup to handle like a school bus all in the name of straight line only dead stop drag whoring anymore. If they wanted the run of the mill dig racer car they could have bought it Im sure. The Cobra wants some track times but I dont see YOU sending the money for the DSS Halfshafts for it, nor sending the money for the axles for the Evo and Im quite sure they raced for themselves, not for you. Cars arent finished, something is always changing, what are they supposed to leave them parked until the cars have every single mod known to man including axles and a drag suspension?

People always complain, seeing what would happen from a roll is more interesting than what would happen from a stop sometimes as the dig racing can be more predictable depending on the cars that are racing. Hell, with some guys, why even run from a dig, compare track times and call it a night. Also captain drag racer, why dont you come find us a nice local spot for dig races for the faster cars that can be accessed whenever something random comes up?

Supras eh? I didnt see any 70, 80 or 90 rolls, just some friendly second gear hits from 40ish and Ill be damned if driver skill and knowing their car better didnt make a difference even from a roll.

You gota pay to play, its not my fault he went down the path he is on now.

As for looking you up sometime, I wouldnt mind I am in Mobile and Pensacola at least once a month. However no one ever wants to run a "race car".

If you want to rip on street cars with your drag car, dont worry we can have some drag cars lined up for you. When you gonna be in this area.

Hell I like racing either way, as long as it's nothing asanine like 70-90 rolls lol. We had a guy out a few weekends ago in an Integra from out of town. He said he had to go from a 100 roll, everybody made so much fun of this jackass. He said he had made 900 whp before but swapped to this turbo for daily driving and was making 550, then he admitted it made 460 the way it sat. He said 80 was the lowest he could do, then went down to 60. He still got railed by an 02 GT with a Vortech, cams and 4.10's LOL

We made so much fun of that guy, he didnt spin from 60, hell he didnt spin from 40 the few times we saw em hit it. He claims he is coming back in 4 weeks with Skylines and stuff from up north to race everybody for $10000. Everybody stood around and made fun of him until he almost cried bahahaha.

NOW THAT is ricer ****

I will though :D

I've got a GT42R-76mm I'm planning to make over 1000rwhp with. The standard GT42R (with a 74mm compressor wheel) is good for about 900 rwhp. Do you really think you'd reel him in? You make about 1/2 that much power with a T70 and stock block, brother. Sorry to be the jackass that calls you out on that claim, but I just don't see it happenin'.

Both cars are badass. I for one may find it interesting what a dig race would turn out but who is anywhere to complain about how someone else drives there car. I drive MY car how i want as im the one that pays for it, and its for my satisfaction. Breaking parts is not fun. Im a hardcore mustang guy but a good friend of mine has an evo with a few bolt ons and holy **** balls those evos really pull hard and in nearly every gear. Handling is incredible as well. Now personally I think that cobra has way more potential in it whereas is it for the sake of argument a fair judgement that the evo is nearly maxed out?

there is a 69 camero with a 300shot out there that it raced and spanked too!! couldnt find it tho maybe some one else has seen it..

It was a 67 Camaro pos gutted drag car that couldnt drive 5 miles to the races and after all the ***** he talked, he hasnt mentioned a rematch since the Evo got redone. He also blew the block in that mofo and it runs 7.7's in the 1/8 now, go figure. He outran the Evo about 200-250 hp ago and hasnt opened his mouth since it got back.
