cant you adjust the bypass to just vent all the extra air out? my mini race is adjustable and i would think that your setup would have to be adjustable also.

Sounds like it's going to be really sweet when it done

Did I miss something or is this setup on stock internals? if you on stock internals then I fear you'll not have much life in the engine running 450+ RWHP (IMO)

good luck.

LOL about staying out of boost! Everyone will pass me expecting to see an 90 YO man driving LOL.

And good idea saleen, but I have a Tail 50MM BOV and it isnt adjustable as far as I know. I think my only option here is to just drive granny style . As long as I stay out of the gas, the boost will not come up...it MAY be running a bit lean at cruize due to the added air being fed to the motor by the turbos spinning at a fairly high speed.

I agree, its all in the tune...but if something happens, there is less room for play @ 500HP vs 450HP. So like I said, I think im going to leave it completely up to Tim. I wanted to be able to beat an 06 Z06 vette, but it looks like ill need a good 480-500RWHP to do it . SO I probably wont be faster.
Although I could probably outdrive most of them....

If I have to race one, ill just go get the busa .

your next step should be that built bottom end. i guess we'll have to see who blows theirs first. i do have a slight advantage on you though. i called MPH last week and am now $2330 away from ALL the parts i need for my build to be complete. i even gave in and got the MPH custom blower cams the pistons, rings headers and all the misc parts should be paid for in about 4 months. then it's time to crank that novi up to about 20psi!!!

maybe i can break 450 with that setup!

A slight advantage? Man your car will be worlds ahead of mine...power wise it wont even be close. Only think that may be simular is the torque #s.

As far as time scale wise, you have alot of work left to do....forged motor install, heads, cams, reinstall tranny and reinstall the blower, change pulley, ect. But at the rate im going, I wouldnt doubt if you still get everything done before me

I did finally get the header flanges in, so hopefully the headers will be made this week and will get them back from Tig welding next week.

Oh, and CONGRATS! Im guessing you will be making a good 650RWHP? Do you have stock heads?

i have planned on keeping the stock heads for now. i think i will go about the same route as Chads old saleen. i dont want much over 600 rwhp. i just want a quick street car, not a track only car. i may decide on ported heads and another thing i am looking to get is that new Trick Flow intake that should be released at the time of my planned engine build. my car should be between 550-650 at the wheels when it is all said and done.

It's getting closer to being done now! Geez.. By the time you get it done I would've had my cams installed, had a motor go south and got it replaced and had my cams put back in

Keep us updated on the header progress and all that good stuff

Yea, it may be delayed....my sister and her 5 kids are down right now.

And the really sad part is that I just found out my cousing killed himself about 2 1/2 hours ago . My sister is taking it really hard....he was like a brother to her.... And a few days ago, my cousins ex wife, first love and friend of the family OD on Rx drugs . Now my cousin shoots himself a few days later.....man its just sad. He was all into drugs and I think was about to go back to prison...followed exactly in his days foot steps. Gets on drugs, ruins his life and then takes his own life.....thats why im SOOOOOOOOOOO against drugs.

They claimed my uncle, his son, and his sons first love....drugs FTL . No good ever comes from it....now their 2 kids do not have a mom or a dad.....its just so sad

Any young persons reading this...PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT DO DRUGS! Its not worth it, its not cool, and it may not only take yourlife, but the lives of people around you who just cant take the loss....just say no, please.

hotmustang331, Do you still have the stock K member? or are you running a tubular one? And how are you routing the exhaust up to the turbos. Just wondering if you came up with something better than me. I have a single T76 running the exhaust under the bolts on the inboard side of the A arms. But I'm always looking for a little more ground clearance.

Oh, as for driving to get your tune, Take the spring out of your waste gates. This will keep the gates open, and your exhaust will bypass the turbo. The most boost you would see is maybe 1-2 psi if you put your foot in it at high RPM.

Good luck man. Your gunna LOVE turbo's. SO much more torque than a blower.
I'm making 468rwhp and 555rwtq.
I have a completely stock motor with 96K miles on it. so you should be fine. Like you said, it's all in the tune. I'm sure my luck will run out though...

^ WOW awsome setup! Ill get you some pics as soon as we install it...but I do have a picture that is not in this thread. These pipes have the waste gate flanges welded in and are ceremic coated, but you get the idea.

And I have a PA racing tubular K member that we put in earlier this year.

Good idea with the springs though

Wow, your running the piping UNDER the sway bar?! What diameter is it? and is the car lowered any?
My piping is about even with the stock convertable subframe brace and I still freakout about smacking it on something. But my car is dropped about 1.8" in the front.

Here is a front pic of the car. The really crappy photo shop work is my attempt to simulate a roush chin spoiler. I have it on the car, just no pic yet. I'll try to get some new pics up soon.

Oh and stupid question... How do I put a pic into the message without making it an attachment?
