Hey guys,

I just traded my 04 Cobra in for an 07 Mustang GT and I love me new car. I was looking around for some JBA longtubes headers and came accross the company below with some great prices.

http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/stores...p&session_id=322d526797a3bf83fee2f711a0660904

How do the guys with the JBA longtubes like their products and power? I think I am going to pull the trigger tonight on the longtubes and Volant intake.

That is an awesome price but don't forget you're going to need a mid pipe for those longtubes also. Also go with the Demolet Cold air it comes with Xcal2 and 3 tunes for $499 shipped I have it and love it.

Hopefully you're aware of the labor cost and the fact that longtubes produce very little power gains on these cars.

I suggest you go for either the C&L, JLT or Steeda intakes. Solid kits with proven power gains. Volant does make nice kits though, I've got one of their kits on my Envoy.

The demolet is a solid kit with proven power gains beat out all the other cai's in the 5.0 mag shootout, my demolet cai and xcal-2 made 32rwhp on the dyno

Oh btw the demolet cai is cheaper than the c&l, steeda, and jlt.

Sweet. Never even heard of that one. It looks just like the JLT.

Lol @ small gains in HP with longtubes.

Shorties net very little to no gain, long tube net a pretty significant gain, especially as you start modding.

+1 on that. I was talking to a guy that runs the local dyno and he said he saw 18 hp. gain on a set of longtubes on a N/A car in the mid range.

Without a tune, yes, you'll see little gain for the money. Probably 10-12 horsepower. But with a tune, you can see up to 30 hp and about the same amount of torque.
