Hey guys, most of you know I'm pretty active on the boards here so I wanted to share with you guys some pics of my new daily driver...

Its a 2010 Kia Forte Koup, 2.4L DOHC 4 Cylinder, 6 Speed Manual, Corsa Blue fully loaded. It's pretty peppy and nice to drive. Let me know what you all think...

today was the first sunny day since I took the car home so I gave her a wash and took some pics...

The outside looks good but that cockpit is just hideous IMO.

Otherwise great car! Hope you enjoy it!!

Thanks! In the SX trim (mine) with the six speed it's about 20 on the head, give or take... the EX (base trim) is like 16 give or take. The only way to get the bigger engine (2.4 vs 2.0) and the six speed is to order it the way I did. As far as MPG goes, sticker says like 25/35 but I have a heavy foot so I'm getting a little less. Overall, it's comfortable, drives well, handles really well, is surprisingly quick (only weighs like 2800lbs), and has lots of creature comforts like blue tooth, and radio/phone controls integrated into the steering wheel. I'm happy with it.

I strongly considered waiting till the 2011 GT 5.0 came out but honestly, I drive way too much to have that as my daily. Plus this harsh winter with record snow fall really made me think twice about having a RWD car as a daily also (been there done that!). Anyway, in the end the Kia was the best compromise between safety, fuel economy, styling, and price for me. That being said, I can't wait to get a chance to drive that new 5.0!

Ha, at least you have the Mustang still. My brother drives a stick-shift DD Kia. He was excited about it at first, but now whenever it comes up in conversation, he just hangs his head and says quietly "I drive a Kia". LOL.

I'm not raining on your parade- A DD is all about practicality, dude!

As an engineer I can't condone the outsourcing of white collar jobs to Korean companies. Yeah an American guy makes 15/hr building the car but the profits go back to Korean.

Agreed. I'm thinking about the new 3.7 v6 for a DD thou. Would't feel bad putting one of them through the daily grind.

The KIA doesn't look like any KIA I remember. Looks like as much quality as my TC which is japanese built! Nice driver there. How much do those go for?
