I bought a external camera mount from chasecam.com . It wasn't cheap, but it uses 3 HUGE suction cups and can hold 75 lbs. Works amazingly well. I made a cool little vido clip with it a few months ago.
Just got done making a custom camera mount. Does some pretty cool angles.
