well just installed my compucar nitrous in bag system and was using the 100 shot. the bottle only had 2lbs on nitrous out of ten in it. the bottle pressure was around 800 too. well i raced my friends evo that went 12.2 at the track. we went from a 1st gear roll and were door to door the until the bottle ran out.

1. i think with a full bottle and temperature up more it would hit harder. am i right?

2. is a 100 shot safe to use on a bascially stock motor?

3. i will be buying a bottle warmer, rpm switch, and wot switch. anything else i should consider?

whats up man, this is the exact kit i will be using to dust that turboed GSR civic, i have just started using this kit so i cant vouch if it is going to blow up my motor yet, but i run the second biggest jet, no problems yet, run colder plugs, back the timing down and run race gas at that level, the kit will certainly hit harder when the pressure is up and the bottle is fullest, i think it is because the pressure drops less on a full bottle as the gas is expelled and the bottle temp goes down,
a window switch and all might be more than the scope of this kit, i run mine on the button but plan to run a switch behind my gas pedal

I have that kit too... use it on my dad's caddy! His '02 Deville went 14.1 @ 102!

It will hit harder with a full bottle and 950-1050 lbs pressure. I don't know if its safe or not, you need to get it on a dyno with a wideband O2 and see if its going lean.... The 100 shot is fine if the tune is there... but you have to make sure its tuned right for the nitrous...

i dont really think this kit is the safest out there at all, i have this theory that it runs pretty lean and thats why you get big power gains out of smaller shots, makes sense that if it just freezes the maf sensor wires it would run rich at lower shots and lean at bigger shots, i havn't put it on a wideband o2 sensor yet though, i got this kit for 178$ shipped on ebay though so even if i only run smaller shots the $/HP ratio is pretty good, there is another car on here that has been running this kit for a few years at the kick ass jet level and has had no problems, he has a 255 lph pump though, i vote keep it at a 100 shot though and just realize that this kit has limitations,

i know of a guy with a 2002 Gt that got 130 RWHP on the biggest shot and his air/fuel ratio was terrible, that works out to too much power for the size of the jet so i've kind of theorized that the leaning out was bringing in the rest of the power since most mustangs gain some power when you lean them out a bit, he was really lucky he didn't blow up his engine right then and there, he now runs a much smaller shot because until he put it up on the dyno he had no idea he was so close to blowing his motor

what kit and jet size were you running when you melted that piston? and when you were melting spark plugs? i've heard its pretty common to blow up the back spark plugs, which is a bastard cause those are the hardest to get at :notnice:

seems like everyone blows something up on the bottle eventually :D

I have used the 100 shot on my carbed motor for the last year and I love it.

I would recommend getting the bottle warmer. The first time I tried it out, it was cool, say the low 50s, and I was at 750 or so max. It didn't seem too impressive.

After the bottle warmer, and a full bottle, it was much stronger. I did not use the wot switch, because I did not want it to come on when I launch, which would bring it in at 2300 rpm. I use a switch on the shifter, and if I let go, its off. So far no problem. Have not got the purge kit, my nitrous guru just said to pop the button a couple times in the staging lanes and it will purge on the motor. It works fine, if you just tap it a couple times after your burnout. I really want a soft hit anyway, so I can spray on launch as soon as the revs come up.

i've seen some sick shifter knobs with buttons for nitrous that are really cool like gone in 60 seconds style on ebay and in mags, wish someone made one that was real stealth looking, like a stock shift knob with a trigger switch or something, if anyone makes these pm me and you sold one!
