Just got walked by an SVT

Man, that was the sweetest thing ive ever seen. this guy, about my age, was riding my tail for about 15 minutes last night, gunning the motor alot. i look back and notice the hood of a snake. needless to say i knew i was gonna get beat. as soon as the road opened up at stuck it in third gear and kicked it, hard, and this guy passed me like i pass ricers, like i wasnt even moving! that thing was awesome, really makes me wish i had one. how much is an 03-04 used cobra running for these days? i doubt i'll get one as im looking for an AUTO mach(wife cant drive stick, and i cant stand her complaining) but how much are they?

Right now the lowest I've heard is between 28-30K new, I don't know about used. Personaly I think thats where their going to stay, it's the only Cobra for a while.

If you can find a used one, the're going for about 25 to 27 G's.

I feel for you though, I had a 99GT with $52,000 invested (including car) and got smoked by an 03 with about $1500 of mods.

It's that damn engine.

Hey, the last time I checked, the 04 Machs were going for $23/25 NEW. If you can get the employee discount. Find or make a freind with the discount. But if the Cobra is what you want, put her in the car on a safe street and let her go. She'll figure it out. My wife did.

yeah, i just lauged it off, i wasnt angry or anything like that, he had the better car. it was still fun to see what it had, and i saw. lets put it like this, "i came, i saw, i was blown away." i love the feeling in either of my cars when i beat some one and i blow past them like they are standing still. the incredible thing is thats exactly what this cobra owner did to me. i test drove one one time, but i never got to see what it could really do. now i know first hand(or would it be second hand?). I doubt a mach 1 would do it for you, if your looking for cobra performance. 310 hp vs what 390? I could be way off. but good luck. My wife can't drive mine either. I try to tell her to just tear it up so I can get my viper-t56. Personally some people just can't focus enough. OH MY GOD I HAVE TO SHIFT, WHAT DO I DO? HA HA

The official #'s say 390hp, but it is actually closer to 425, very underrated.
They did that for insurance reasons. If you do the math with my mods I am at about 500 hp at the crank. Gotta love it !!!!!!!

I was told by one of the SVT mechs that they periodically put them on the dyno when they come in just to see what they are pushing. He told me he hasnt seen one doing 390 all have been at 420-435hp.
I was told that it was for insurance purposes as well.

Ins Agent] uhhh how much hp does this car have?
Me] uhhh ok well, I forgot... pick a number between 250 and 280 hehehehe

and its a vert oooooh twist it around and break it off...... and my wife has 2 tickets in the last 2 years. Guess what car they put those on? pricks

Haha, sounds almsot exactly like what I did to a fellow 94-98 Cobra owner over the weekend. I came across him and we paced each other for awhile. At one point I just stayed behind him as he tried to speed off. When the road finally opened up, I downshifted and left him like he hit the brakes. I was honestly suprised how bad I walked away from him. He did seem like a very cool guy though.....being as how he paced me for awhile and I even took different roads and he still followed. His car was very nice looking as well.

Btw, now that I think about it, I walked away from a red LX (I see one in your sig) that night as well. I didn't ride the guys bumper for 15 minutes nor rev at him. But you didn't happen to be on 202 in West Chester, PA on Saturday night, were you?
