wow. the sound is incredible. ford racing shorties, upr o/r x pipe, and one chamber flows. i had a dynomax cat back and was way to quiet. so i cut the mufflers out had some 2.5 inch piping welded to the tiny 1 chambers and welded up. very loud and sound awesome under wot. ill try to get up a sound clip

My cousin (UnderPressureGT) had them last year on his '87 stang, they are insanely loud, got to love them. I was going to get them as well, but found out that Flowmaster came out several months ago with an even LOUDER race muffler than the 10 SERIES (1 chamber) RACE mufflers. I am going to buy FLOWMASTER OUTLAW SERIES RACE MUFFLERS which contain absolutely NO chambers at all. I can't wait to get these chamber-less mufflers from Flowmaster.

I don't have a 5.0 Stang but I do have a 96 GT and I must agree that the sound is pretty awesome at WOT. I had 2 of the 1 chamber Flowmasters welded in a couple of months ago, I had the 40 series but as most can tell you..they're just not loud enough. But I like the kind of exhaust note that'll make ears bleed,heads turn and set alarms off. I just try to keep the needle around 2K RPM's around police if ya know what I mean.

I;d love to hear it.
You've also got an x-pipe which should give the car a nice exotic tone.
But the 1 chambers make it loud as hell.

Does it sound more like a 4.6?

One chamber Flowmasters sound GREAT, but in my opinion are just too loud for the street in most cases.

Did you just have new mufflers welded on?

My car had a dynomax catback on it and I was thinking about ditching the dynomax turbomufflers for some hooker aerochambers. I am just afraid to do it because the aerochambers are heavier.

i like the way my car sounds now, but louder is always better, the only thing is, it has to still be clean, and i hate that kind of a backfire sound that sometimes happens w/ my friends bassani..... Is the sound loud and CLEAN or is it just gross loud, cuz if its unbelievably loud but still clean, its cool, if its choppy and nasty and just gay loud, than it no good, i gotta hear this .......
