Two days ago I installed TW heads , B-31 cam from AFM, 24lbs injectors and "PRO-M 75mm bullit for fox body Stangs" ,first day I didn't have problem with pinging but next day it start pinging realy bad
I try bump fuel pressure from 36 to 40psi with vaccum hose but still nothing , cambers on new heads are clean so that isn't problem, timing is 13.5*, i tryed clean new MASS and ACT sensors with carb cleaner but still nothing, I runing 93 octane gas
Did anybody have same problem like me after swaping heads and how I can fix this
I know I need tune ,but what I can do with this before I tune my Stang

what thermostat are you running ? its getting hot here in pa ,and you are making more power now and power means heat, how was it on the temp gauge when it was pinging , if thats not it you might have to back off the timing .

Today I retard timing to 10* and pinging is less, but still there in 4th and 5th gear, I bump fuel pressure to 42psi with vaccum hose now
What if I buy TwEECer R/T, can I do tune with my self

Your car pings above 10 degrees of timing? My car wont run worth **** if its anything under 14 degrees of timing. If you havent got new spark plugs try thoes and make sure you're running 93 octane.

Ok guys right now timing is 10* (was 16* yesteraday) , fuel pressure is 42(was 36) and we bought Autolite 3923 because guys in AdvandeAutoParts didn't have 3924 or 3925 in the time and everything else was closed (sunday 7PM)
I think ist because on damn PRO-M 75mm fro foc body for 24#
Or meybe because I using 3923 plugs(little colder than 3925)

unless I'm reading the timing wrong and so is my dad and another mechanic then my car doesnt like anything under 14 degrees of timing. It WILL run at 10 degrees but pops a lot.

well its not because the meter is from a foxbody...plenty of guys run fox body meters on our cars...the fact that its a 75mm may not be helping as they are hit or miss...some work on our cars, some dont...the plugs may be a little too cold as well...
