ok just returned from the track tonight and the more i go there the more i see that i am the weakest link to my goal at a fast car lol.

anyways i got there late so i was only able to pull off 2 runs....

this is my fist time with drag radials

60' -----1.950
330 -----5.793
1/8 [email protected]

1000 -----11.362

1/4 [email protected]

the car bogged every gear i was shifting way to early (big diff from street tires)

second run still tring to feel the car out

60' -------1.969
330 -------5.777

so all in all i see i need more time behind the wheel and a shift light would be nice also

but seems the car is very strong i think i could have pulled off a 12'sec run if i had a few more runs my be next week when the 3.73 go in and the 4.10 come out..

for that last run i toke here all the way to 6700rpms in 4th i was smacking the rev limiter but i was at the end of the track by then..

4.10's is just to much gear for a blower car some like it but i dont..

as for tires i am running my bullit 17 X 10.5 rims with nitto 555r drag radials

i am mostly going by feel when it comes to launching the car

but what are u guys launching at with drag radials

it was 3k for me on street tires.....

I assume 315's nitto's? Yeah that last run trapping 116 is pretty stout! I hope I can trap 115+ when I go, but in reality I would like a 120 trap after a few fixes this fall:nice: Yeah it def. takes time to feel it out, but those 3.73s will help, unless you just go with a 28" tire

i want to keep it a street car

any one know the smallest pulley i can go before i need a 8-rib i want to max out my sq-trim i want 15-16psi out of the little sq-trim

i will be ordering the paxton fmic monday..

i think i will need a upgraded blow-througth valve.....

smallest pulley i saw for sq-trim is 2.87

hell with it i will just order the 8-rib kit also for 550 bucks that should cover slippage on a small pulley size

The mph is there to run high 11's! I ran 11.90 @ 114 mph so you could definately go 11.8x's! You must have been winding her up pretty tight to trap 116 w/4.10's. Unless you have a taller than stock tire.

Yeah, that is true.

If you get the driving part down you can get a great E.T. from 116mph.

hehe my mods are :

mmr900 shortblock

patriot stg2 heads

mph blower cams

sq-trim vortech 3.6 stock pulley

cobra fuel tank and pumps

kb boost-a-pump

full performance exaust system :lt headers,0/r x-pipe,catback

bbk upper intake w/ 75-mm tb

Might as well go 8 rib and let it fly! 600 here we come!:nice: You running 60's or bigger?

Hell yeah! I would definately go 8 rib and crank up the boooost!

Might want to consider either a P-51 or TrickFlow intake manifold while your at it! Let it eat!!

thxs guys sounds like i could be on my way

she only has 42lb injectors atm but i am sure the guys at jpc will let me know if i need more..

the devils at the door i think my wife is going to shut me down on all the spending lol..

so i am ordering the intercooler monday and have jpc put it in along with my 3.73 gears ...

and mybe i can get the wife to by me the 8rib pullies for my birthday wish me luck :nice:

Good traps. I would at least go to a 3.1" pulley. I ran a 2.8" RR pulley on a 6 rib. Only spinning to 6200 I made close 13psi through a cheap ebay intercooler and stock heads with a V1. The V2 has a slightly steeper step up ratio so you should see more with a less restrictive intercooler. With that I made 516whp and averaged 125-127 traps.
