Jumped over here from the 4.6 modular forum to give you folks a heads up that the convertibles are out and about. Was west bound on I-10 headed from Jacksonville last Fri. Was passed by a yellow convertible '05. At first I wasn't real sure if the Stang was a notchback with some type of black cover on the top. But sure enough it was a convertible. Very nicely done.

if you dont have pics to prove this...your full of crap. nothinng anybody ever says is valid unless a pic is posted. including my post. dont take my post serioulsy because i dont have a pic.

otherwise...good find. i myself have not seen ANY test mules of any kind, but im down at illinois state so i dont see much outside of the school.

Look at my location ;) I'm mayeb 15 mins from AAI and 15 mins from Dearborn. Over at The Mustang Source, I've posted many pics I've taken of the 05. Not sure if the comment was directed at me.. or the original poster for this thread.

They are road testing them now. It is very possible that some are in FL... a small herd of like 4 were seen and photographed in the Houston are in TX.

But here are my VERY blurry pics of the 05 vert with tops down. I was also at the plant launch party too and saw a few there.. under cover.. but then out on the roads they were out and about.

No big deal about the pix. Unsafe at 80+ mph, not that anyone on I-10 was going that fast!!! I'm an uninterested bystander. Don't like the front end on the '05.

Here's a photo to prove it. I took it at night.

Just as a side note, why in Florida??? Ford has research and development testing facility just east of Naples. Thats in Collier County on the SW side of Florida. It is well hid in the "glades". Not many know about it but I have had the privlidge to visit it and I have seen test mules (3 mustang coups) in Naples last spring. I have no doubt that Ford is doing testing locally. Naples has a sub-tropical climate similar to Miami and provides a high heat and humidity testing ground.
