Just wanted to flame a little bit

Ok, I had been in Houston for about a week, and I was coming back, knowing that my brother and my dad had both driven my car I already had an eerie feeling about something happening to my car. Well, I get home, don't see any immediate problems. Later that evening I decided to change my oil. Well, I put it up on the lift, raise it up just above eye level; I then begin to remove the oil......blah blah. So It drains, I put the cap back on the Fram suredrain that I used, and as I am walking back around the car to take the oil to our 55 gal. drum, I notice some nasty scratches on the passenger side of my roush side skirts. HOLY **** I'm thinkin', what the hell did i run over? Well, I get a good look at it, and 3/4 the length of the skirt the paint is completely removed and down to the urethane. I check the other side, exactly the same. I am HOT at this point. (just for reference, I washed the car before I left for Houston and checked all the bottom of my car to make sure the paint was still clean, it was.) So I then decide to call my dad over to come check it out, here's what I say "Looks like somebody decided to drive my car a little more than they should have". He just says "yup". That gets me a little suspicious. So by now I know my pieces are ruined and will need a complete repainting      . Well, I talk to my brother the next day, and he knew how low my car sat to the ground with my springs and my side skirts, so he knew not to drive it just anywhere. So then I'm thinkin' it had to be my dad. Problem: dad won't ever admit he's wrong so I'll have to pay to get them completely repainted....well that was a $300 waste

That sucks man....That's exactly why I don't let anyone drive my car. I feel for ya b/c I know if my dad ever did drive my car and damage it in any way, he would NEVER fess up to it. He'd probably just say "That was already there." or something to that effect. NEwayz, sorry to hear about your situation and hopefully you can get the parts repainted sooner than later....I'd imagine your car looked sweet before this happened....a little paint and it'll be ready to go all over again.

If you have comprehensive insurance (which you should), check to see if you deductible is $200 or $250. If it is, report it to your insurance company. I seriously doubt your rates will change. Although, you might want to check it with your insurance agent first just to make sure.

well as long as you do only 1 comprehensive claim every 3 years ur insurance doesnt go up. Otherwise, it does.
That's all fine and good, but I had to pay for all the things that I have broken on my dad's 69 Camaro, which is pretty easy to do.
Eh well, he paid for your life....lol. So deal with it. You will allways be in debt to your parents unless you find a way to pay them back...

Well, if I'm following your philosophy, you ought to drop part of your sig. with the request for newbs to use the search button, just cause it annoys you to see them post and repost stuff, so you should follow your own suit.
