I keep reading where people kept saying that once you get the KB installed you have to lightly step on the gas if you don't want your tires spinning. Is this right? I just don't want to get the supercharger and find out I can't drive it unless I'm really careful. I just don't want to have to replace tires every few months. I have an AODE 01 gt. Hell I can always cancel the order, since it won't be ready for another few weeks.

There is about 2 inches of swing of the gas pedal from idle to max throttle... It's not like you get zero or everything, and nothing between. The car is drivable like a stock GT, just at different scale. It gets nasty when you floor it at max on 1st or 2nd, but that feels so good!

Nah...its a streetable car. The power is only there when you want it to be there. You will have to relearn how to launch though because you can't just stomp it and go..you'll just roast some rubber. When launching you do have to feather it, but under normal driving it drives like a normal car. So how often you buy tires depends on you. :D

Yes. Both 6PSI and the 9PSI intercooled setups are very streetable. If you have 3.73 or higher gears, I heard people with KBs change back to the 3.27 gears for that reason. If you do have that problem.......take off in second gear. :D

How's that tranny workin' out?

Not too change the subject but that is one bad ass video. narongc73 from my understanding the KB is perfact for the street, its just when you mash the pedal then you will spin. Gotta be careful on what boost you want, do some studies and figure out want you want to go with. I also know that the vortec is good for an everyday street ride as well.

Don't tell me you are having second thoughts???

Just do it...if you have a traction problem, we can solve that with drag radials! Too much power is a good problem to have!!

I can't wait to order mine and have to learn how to drive my car all over again.
:D :flag:

I have no problems driving on the street. It can be very docil if you want it to be, unless you get on it from a stand still then be ready for some tire roasting. I love mine, it is a blast to drive everyday, had it since feburary and the $hit eating grin won't go away when I get behind the wheel. :D

Wow, theres a lot of folks with KB's now. Glad to hear everyone likes theirs. Have any of yall had any engine issues? I know it all depends on the tune, but my pops is pretty adamant on the whole, no supercharger on the car you drive everyday.

You give me your kit when you get it and I'll try it out on my car. If there is any issues I will let you know when I send you back the empty box. PM me if interested.

Seriously, driving around "normal" you wont notice much of a difference. I drive mine to and from work just about every day (45 miles each way). When you accelerate out of boost, it will feel a bit faster, but that's it. Now when you mash it to the floor, that's a whole different story. Hang on. :spot: :spot: :spot:
