Kenwood amp question

My friend bought some Kenwood amp at cicuit city for like 170ish a month or two ago and hasnt used it yet. He got some different system and is gonna get another amp. Still has the reciept to it and says he'd let me have it for like 120. I havent heard anything about Kenwoods right off...he said somethin about it being around 1400watts bridged or somethin like that...I'm not very system literate...i have two 6.5, and 6x9 pioneers, pioneer head unit, and 12" Fosgate Punch. I think he said is like rated 700somethin watts. Sorry for my lack of knowledge about it but think it'd be alright?

If you're talking about this one: http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&b=g&catoid=-8865&qp=0&oid=70767 then it would be overkill for the sub, if you're just running one. Also, don't pay attention to the max rating, pay attention more to the RMS rating. If you get another punch, then you could just run the two at 150RMS each, but it would probably be too much for one, unless you only use one of the channels, instead of bridging it.

Bridging is exactly that. Running the 2 channels into one so it makes more power to that one channel. Usually for a sub. In non bridged(2 channel) mode it would be stereo and bridged (1 channel) mono. Make sense?
