Kill switches...

I always thought of doing something crazy though like:

In order for the car to start, the headlights have to be on, the fan has to be on a certain speed, the heater blower had to be on defrost, and then you'd have to find a switch and turn the key....you know, something that's a real PITA to get running.

Even with that.....if they want it bad enough, they'll get it. Just tow the thing!!!

sorry, should have been more specific...

Battery kill switches for the track!

Ryan, i think it's 13.99 for a convertible. I was originally thinking of the flaming river one with the rod and i was going to get a spare tail light and go through the tail light, but it does not kill the alternator. is it neccessary to kill the alternator?

pretty sure you would have to kill the alternator too seeing that the car would stay running until the battery ran out of juice

well once you break the connection with the switch, what is the alternator charging?...nothing. so wouldn't it die pretty quick without a battery or would the charge that the alternator is trying to deliver to the battery be enough to keep all of the accessories running and the ignition sparking?

Here is what you need :

I placed mine between the taillights, behind the licens plate, using some spacers for the screws.
