knocking headers

hey just a quick question about bbk el shorty headers i recently installed them myself and every time i start my car hear a weird clunk from passenger side intake/header area. I was worried cuz it didnt look like enough clearance between fender wall and the headers just wondering if any of u had this problem? maybe its the my mounts arnt tight enough? well thx for your time again

im not sure why you would think that your headers would be knocking. There is plenty of space between the fender and header. sounds like you need to do some troubleshooting

The noise started after your headers were installed? Check to make sure your smog line isn't hitting the header. Are they unequal lengths or equal lengths?

take a look @ your motor mounts if you have a torn mount it could cause the header to rub the fender wall

i have also been having this, it sounds like an exhaust leak to me though

my MAC equal lengths knock... Drivers side... 2 tubes hit each other when I'm really getting on it on a take off.. i'm going to fix that very soon.
