the local performance shop here (www.performanceautosport.com) says they charge 260 dollars typically to weld in lower subframe connectors. this seems like allot, but they explained that they do it the right way, by makng sure the cars loaded right so its sitting normal, and they clean off the undercoating real well and then weld each in, then paint the weld area. about 2 hours a side they said it takes. its this allot of moeny? the connectors themselves are about 100 dollars from them, so no shipping.

too much money? i dont think so that much. id really like to have it done right.

Actually, I had called a performance shop here a couple months ago, inquiring about the same thing, and got about the same quote. I was sort of shocked as well, so it moved down a couple of notches on the
urgency-o-meter for now.

I might also consider having a frame shop do the install. They certainly should be acquainted with having the suspension loaded evenly and doing the welding. It might be cheaper than having a dedicated speed type shop do the install.

Good luck.

way too much, having the car loaded isnt hard at all and cleaning the underside and rust proofing are not hard either.

i bought some cheapy ebay SFC for 50$, look great, i mocked them up and are a good fit and we have a welder so i will weld them in myself. whenever i find time.

i hear muffler shops do them sometimes. i would buy em and take them somewhere. i would pay 50-75$ tops for a good install. i just cant see myself paying for an install as i can do it myself. but if u cant weld then find the cheapest price lol

installing SFCs isnt a hard concept so there isnt an excuse for anyone to do a bad job on them.

Unless you can't weld very well or don't have a welder...Can't just glue em on :D

If you can't weld worth a ****, I wouldn't recommend putting them on yourself.

I paid $224 for install.

MM FLSFCs

So all in all that was: $355+

$119 FLSFCs
$Shipping
$10 Sherwin Williams Rust Inhibitor Spray Paint
$224 Proper Install

Find a friend with a welder. I've never welded anything b4 and I did my own welding. Just clean it up good with a wire brush. It's actually pretty easy. That's way too much to do this. You could buy a welder and the subframes and still come out about even.
