Where exactly, as in what screw, did you ground your heater and system and analog grounds to?

Looking on the innovate forums, they recommend that the heater should be grounded separately from the other two but still in close proximity.

I grounded my AFR gauge etc to the same ground the EEC uses and the heater ground to a bolt to the right of the ECU.

I'm still working on my install doc for how I hooked my LC-1 -> DataQ -> twEECer but I'll go ahead and post it so that you can see the pic that shows where I grounded the blue heater ground.

So here's how to install a Innovate LC-1 to a DataQ over USB and datalog in your twEECer R/T.

Thanks! that helps alot, the pictures are great. One more question..."the ground that the eec uses" ? Where is that? Thats the final question i keep trying to get answered.

Look about 4-5 inches towards the bottom left of the ECU - there is a green colored bolt that's around 8mm or so... that's the one..

Sweet. Thanks again. I'm pretty much squared away now. I'll probably do some more wiring tonight. So you grounded the system and the analog to the same bolt?

I sure did. Once you get it wired up, make sure you use a volt meter to check the voltage coming out of your analog 1 or 2 output wire (yellow or brown) going into your DataQ and make sure that the DataQ is seeing the correct voltage. If not you can have the LC-1 output a contstant voltage and recalibrate the DataQ's upper and lower ranges based on that.

I'll post a writeup on calibrating the entire system this week when it finally quits raining down here.

Also make sure you ground the DataQ. I used the same bolt as the system and analog ground.

The Innovate forums are a pretty good spot to read up on some of the finer points of the system and programming, there could be some help there...
