From what you all are saying, I guess the car is not necessarily "doomed" just yet, which I guess just means I dont have to quite "rush out" to get the new engine.. Since I dont drive it a whole lot anymore, Ill see what happens with my bonus check and tax refund early next year (although most of it is supposed to go towards the pool bill)
I guess my main problem now is that I was gonna start "fixing" it back up again to get some more power to it and bringing it to some shows. For now, Ill keep blinging the individual little pieces to give me something to work on until I can do this work.
CHP has given me a good price for a 331 combo which they practically guarantee will hold the power of 10# boost with a snow kit.
