Let's Play- Why Won't My Car Idle Right For $600 Alex

Go out today and my car starts to die,, it will run fine but won't idle... go under the hood and check for vacuum leaks,, go and adjust the ide up and then after about 10 minutes after scratching my head I take look closer at the TPS, and see this.. wtf

have no clue how this happened as I never probe the TPS there. Must have gotten twisted during the intake swap.. Lucky I had a spare laying around and swapped it on.

Must have been one of those damn garage gremlins....

The black wire is the TPS signal ground. Had you dumped the codes, you probably would have gotten a code 23 - Throttle sensor out of range or throttle set too high.
