Okay I got my Rollmaster Timing Chain from Ed and I'm supposed to use the Brass Thrust Washer supplied with the timing chain...
Now here is the situation...
I first put the thrust washer between the cam sprocket and cam retainer plate...(no it didn't fall down)...and after bolting down the cam bolt (w/ washer) on the cam sprocket I could not turn the engine over...it felt like pretty severe binding...am I not supposed to tighten down the cam bolt much at all??...how much?
Next I went on corral.net and a well known and well knowing "Kim" on there said that it is supposed to go between the cam retainer and cam (he knows his stuff)...so I took everything apart again...and did this...and it did not bind BUT...the cam sprocket (from the side) is pushed in more than the crank sprocket so it is an uneven pull and it is harder on the engine...???
What do I do?...how much is the cam bolt supposed to be bolted down?...
PLEASE HELP!...
Thanks,
David
