Should I get autometer gauges and ignore the stock ones? Also where would you mount new gauges? I may or may not put a radio in the car so I could use that location for new gauges.

The thing that bugs me is having non-working items. If I get a new tach and place it on the dash like so many other fox body owners do. The factory one will get on my nerves quick, is there anyway of covering it up?

Or is there an aftermarket speedometer with odometer in metric (read: km)that can be installed on an AOD? I was thinking about doing something like that.

I'd make my own inst. cluster with these.

Then add these somewhere on the consol area such as the center vents?

I think that would set my interior apart from others and be tasteful at the same time. I need to change my instrument cluster anyway since the tach won't work on the V8.

Check out the aluminum dash plates at www.mc-machine.com/products.htm. I installed the 3-3/8"tach, 3-3/8"speedo, and 2-1/16" fuel guage, oil press. guage, volts, and water temp in the dash plate on my 1992 GT convertible. I also installed 2-5/8" guages in the aluminum triple-vent cage from Autometer. I installed fuel pressure, pyrometer, and nitrous pressure in the vent cage. Looks great. I used Autometer Pro-comp ultra-lites. I am very happy. Sorry I haven't taken any pictures yet. Email Mike at mike@mc-machine.com. He was great to work with.
Pete.

92gtvert....did you wire each gauge individually? i want to do something like that but i dont want to have to run wires for each individual gauge because im too lazy and it would look like crap because im not a perfectionist. does anyone make a wire loom for gauges. i know painless makes one, but its for gm cars?

i also like the ones HP67 linked to. always have.
to answer the question about the stockers and adding on....
oil volts, and water can be added and keep the stockers. i havent done a fuel, speedo or tach, so i have nothing to offer there. good luck with what you choose. let us know and show pics. have fun!
