Lets up the Mustangs rating!!!!!!!

It needs a better rating then 8's, I posted a review under "FORD RULES!!!!" check it out.

I wouldn't worry about MSN's auto section. I checked on my 94 Dodge Ram and it says that all Rams from 94-02 only had the 5.2 318 as the biggest engine. My engine is clearly a 5.9 360.

I was bored and it was on my homepage so I figured I would check it out.

There are several people on there complaining about blowing head gaskets on there stangs.
Is that a common problem on our stangs??? I have 120K on my stang and have never had that problem!!!

The 5.0L isn't even broken in properly until around 100K-120K miles. The only Mustangs I know of with HG problems have been forced inducted.

I've heard of head gaskets going out, but not mine (109,000 miles) nor my dad's 95 GT (65,000) have gone out. I see time to time people asking about head gaskets in 5.0 Tech.

The GTS is a stripped down GT, much like the LX of the Fox body era. They took a V6 chassis and dropped in a V8 drivetrain. Mine has manual windows, locks, cloth seats, no spoiler, no cruise... the list goes on. Basically they scrapped the extras to save some weight and a couple bucks off of MSRP.

OT, How does the tubular K-member handle with everyday driving and do you have the tubular A-arms too???

I was thinking of bolting them on my stang cause mine is bent from a prior wreck when the previous owners had it, I wasn't sure how they would stand up to everyday driving conditions.

I get under the car every few months and do a structural inspection (cracks, bends and whatnot) and I've yet to turn up any problems with either the K-member or the tubular A-arms. I'd have to look at my records but it's been somewhere around a year since the install.

For the record, I'm running both the Griggs K-member and their standard lower control arms. After a few other mods are completed, I plan on upgrading to their world challenge arms. Of course, Griggs just released their SLA setup too. I may go that route... All in all though, I've been real happy with the current setup.

The mustang 3.8 v6 had problems with head gaskets. Ford had a gasket recall on them and on the windstar 3.8 as well.
