I agree. That is a cool vid. I shouldn't have spent 7 minutes watching it because I'm working on an essay, but damn it, it was worth it man!
Now if only the terminators weren't so expensive... what can you expect for a high 12 second car

There was a post a while ago about the speedometer thing. Someone was saying the guy changed gears but did not correct it so it shows speeding up faster than it really is. But not sure who was right.

i timed it to 100 and its in the 5 sec range. That car will hit 100 as mines hitting 60. that retared fast!!

I think you have it exactly right. Ridiculous.

Consider that a 465 rwhp Cobra will hit 160 mph in around 25 seconds. And then imagine what it would take to cut that time in half. Certainly more than twice as much power.

I do not know of many >1000 horsepower Cobras out there, so I'd guess it's just a speedo joke. It would be trivial to do -- anybody with a Predator could do it in 5 minutes.

That speedo video was sped up. I have the original. It takes 23 second approximately to get to 160 (which is still fing crazy. If you listen to it, it doesnt sound like a cobra at all. Its sped up so fast it sounds like an f1 car.

Hello Jennifer, & welcome to my other world, lol. You should post some pics up here .... I'm sure SN would enjoy them. Afterall, you have ..... what ..... 4 or 5 Stangs? Oh ... and I wanted to tell you thanks for informing me a while back about Brandon (his relation to Gary). I went & checked out his cars (very nice). His '95 R is immaculate. Oh, and I think Gary said they finally got the engine finished for the '93 R. What a machine. Anyhow, it's good to see ya' on here.

I posted a pic of my red coupe in the fox pic thread. I'll post the others in my intro, if I get a chance. I've only got 3 right now (counting the Cobra that I have to share with the bf).

That 95 R is baaad. If I had the money to lose, I'd be all over that thing! I haven't gotten to see the 93 R yet. Need to go check that out sometime. Brandon and Gary both have some super nice cars, most of which are rarities...
I couldn't be in that business though, cause I wouldn't want to sell anything! That's how I got my opal frost car...it was originally purchased with the intention of reselling for a little more than I had in it. The drive on the way home after I bought it was enough to change my mind! So now it sits in the garage, lol...but it's just so hard to run up on reasonably-priced clean cars that I couldn't bear to part with it.
