hey guys im at the point where I need a shortblock, SO im thinking about this, at the pick n pull they have a **** load of 5.0's just not H.o. motors, So is a lincoln 5.0 the same shortblock the same in our stangs? I will be putting a nice size cam in it and gt40p heads and so on. So are they?

I think after 1986 the 5.0L blocks are all roller blocks but some don't have a roller cam. But some have seen NON roller blocks in crown-vics. I took a block out of an 1987 van once and it was a roller block with a flat tappet cam.

What year continental has the 5.0???

Didn';t they do FWD around '87 or so?

I doubt the 5.0 is an HO. I always thought the first and only Lincoln to get the 5.0 HO was the '87 Mark 7 LSC

The pistons will be different. The crank and rods will be the same.

I believe the pistons in a lincoln are cast pistons , where in a 86-93 mustang they will be forged or hypereutectic which is obviously stronger.

Hell I wanted to do it, so I posted in the 4.6 forum, and they were like, dont do it its a waste of time, blah blah, even though a 4.6 is way more reliable.
