Lincoln Mark VII calipers on our cars?

I have the Lincoln MK VII calipers and the difference is night & day. I now have the brakes that should have been standard equipment on the car. Best brake investment for the buck.

These guys are talking about upgrading their calipers with calipers from a Lincoln Mark VII. I wonder if they would fit on our cars too?

Its an upgrade for the fox crowd, not us. Like was said in that thread, a nice alternative upgrade for us is the 99-newer dual piston PBR setup. I've done the swap and I am happy with the results. Not a night and day difference, but a step in the right direction. For all the more they cost, they are a nice low buck alternative. Plus they polish up nice too!!!

I just checked with PrestigeMustang (http://www.prestigemustang.com), and their price for used 99+ calipers is $75 each. Is that reasonable?

the closest junkyard to me is 30 miles away, and it never has any mustangs.

I have $80 in mine, that is for the two PBR calipers and their brackets.

Watch ebay as they are often on there. Anyone with a 99-newer GT or V6 that has upgraded to cobra, baer, etc should have these for you.

The PBR's are on the GT AND V6 models.

Killer, Do they work with the stock rotors? I didnt think the rotors had the same diameter?

yep, they work with the stock rotors. That's why they are nice, you get improved braking without the wheel clearance hassle of the larger diameter rotor.
