Looked at new car today. Lend ideas.

I found my lastest winter project today. I've known it was there for over a year but I went a drove it today. It a brand new 1977 pinto 2.3 w/ a C3. Its a 100% rust free original car and will pass inspection just as it sits.
He's asking alot more than I've given for any type of car I plan to cut up but I talked him down to $200.
I have the entire car planned out front to back...but I want to hear any suggestions or thoughts you might have.

A general overview will be another 2.3T, stock parts but worked over pretty hard. C4, 8" rear, and a good bit of nitrous.

Its gotten tricky lately.

Well I'm not exactly sure how this happened but I didn't get the pinto today. Instead there's a 93 ranger with a turbo 2.3 sitting my trailor right now. I'll try to post some pics soon.

I would still like to get the pinto next week, thats what I would rather build.

The ranger is not technically mine. This guy told me he would help fund the pinto if I put the labor into making a ranger for him. Basically I get to do what as far as parts as long as I stay within the budget. He supplies the parts for both.

The ranger also now weighs within 100 lbs of the mustang.

freakintiger: yeah as bad as I'm going to cut this car up there should room for about any engine I want to put in it. The "big" windsor is going in the tube mustang though.

Cro: You probably have the best idea so far. She is always spending time with me though. The only real problem is we're always running around to get a car or head to the track or fix stuff after getting back.

Ash: It would scare you how much stuff I've gotten for free or trading labor. Since everybody from a huge area has heard about the coupe they have traveled to find me. Some do it to race, others do it because they have parts to get rid of. "Recently a guy I didn't know called me at autozone, to tell me about a adjustable cam gear(says it one of his spares). He said he would trade me a garuanteed good N/A head for it. Honestly I don't even know how many N/A heads I have, but its quite a few.
I'm going by Joe morgans Pinto process that cost him like $6-7K. Right now with stuff I have unused or laying around. I only have to add about $1700 of my own money to make it happen. Which is roughly what I think I can get out of my 88TC.

I'm shooting for high 10's by the end of the project. which would put my in the 6's in the 1/8th.
I'm gearing my a little higher so I can run to the end of the 1/8th in 2nd and the end of the 1/4 in 3rd.
However, just for fun I have access to several different sets of 8" center sections and a swap is a very small project.
