My Fiance is lookin for an 05 Mustang and when I called the dealer they told me that there weren't any GT's available and when they come in it is normally already claimed by a customer. I think she can handle a V-6 fine but she has her heart set on a V-8, the thing is either way I want a manual transmission in it but they told me that ford isn't making the V-6 manual till at least mid Jan, is this salesman speak trying to get me to take what is on the lot or is it legit. Also, what should I look for when buying? Thanks in advance, AL

Thats just some BS trying to get you to buy what they have, I test drove a V6 stick, their out their in fact the dealers near here have several, it is the GT that are hard to come by, because if they get one on the lot that wasnt preordered they are asking for way too much, so it might be beneficial to you to order exactly what you want, that way you dont have any regrets and probably can negotiate a better price, I know its a wait but if you can stick it out it might just be worth it in the long run. And in the mean time if something you like shows up on a lot purchase that and cancel your order, just make sure your deposit is refundable and get the price set in stone and on paper.

The dealer is correct, the V6 manual transmission is NOT yet in production. The V6 manual was originally scheduled to go into production in late November but got pushed out to January. The date may have been pulled back in as in the past few days a couple people on brad's site said that have started to get production dates scheduled in December.

thanks for the help, Blue is the color, but not veil blue. Any other information would be appreciated, I don't want to look back and figure out I bought the totally wrong Mustang, thanks all, AL

Atchley Ford in Omaha, NE had a black V6 with a stick in it. They're here. They currently have a silver V6 with a stick in it (or at least 4 days ago they did). And the silver V6 and mine were the only two V6's on the lot. Otherwise there were 5 GT's that weren't spoken for.

Reminds me of when I went looking for a Toyota MR2; the dealer said it was the last one in Florida. I went to another lot and found one without even using a phone. I have come to believe every word from a salesmans mouth should be checked first and believed later, and then if they lie I just don't come back.
