Well, I got the MGW shifter in, tranny fluid changed and the oil changed so tomorrow I install the steeda 3 pc set (adj. cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster). Does anyone Know of any good write ups on this? I know how everything goes in except for the firewall adjuster, I just cant picture how it works. Can anyone refer me to a "how to" or give me detailed instructions on how it works, etc??

Thanks!!

yeah I would greatly appreciate this too, but I'd also like to know what exactly these parts do..
you can adjust the point where the clutch engages
the stock setup on my car would engage way to high so i bought the upr setup to change it so it engages right off the floor

the quadrant is the hardest piece to install. the firewall adj. is easy, find the stock plastic piece next to the master cyl., remove it (two small screws i think) and install the new one. once you have it in your hand you'll see how easy it is

for the quadrant, make sure you have more than just a flashlight, the more light you can get the better.

well I have got everything on, but I dont know how to adjust everything.
Where do I start?? I have the pedal hieght adjuster, firewall adjuster, and adjustable cable..

I have a hard time telling if the clutch is disengaging properly because my shifter is new, and therefor stiff.

By the way, does disegaging refer to the pedal returning to position or being pressed to the floor?

This is really scary. Do you know how a manual transmission works? What does the clutch engagement/disengagement have to do with the shifter?
But, anywho, to answer your question, you are disengaging the clutch when you press it in (toward the floor/firewall). It engages as you release it...ya know, then you GO!

Um actually with an adj. cable you dont even need a firewall adjuster I belive. Supposedly aftermarket cables suck, so i suggest just keeping your stock one, and use the firwall adjuster. Its very easy, and it comes with instructions on how to install the adjuster. Look in your package. Its funny, I made mine where it engauges like right at the top of the pedal. I hated how the 03 and 04 cobra's pedal engaged like a 1/2 inch off of the floor. Too easy to miss the shift. This way its almost impossable. I also have the quick ramp from steeda...didnt increase effort either.
