Looking for a non cop magnet exhaust!

My 95 project is insanely loud. I have to drive like a granny just to stay under the radar of overly eager small town cops. BBK shorties, BBK off-road X, MAC Pro Dumps. I didn't put a lot of thought or time into my exhaust system, I just wanted to get the thing breathing to get the project done. Well, now its on the road and its just not gonna cut it.

I really LOVE the dumps because I don't really dig tailpipes plus I like not having them in the way on the rear for doing work, so I decided I could go with a muffler swap. I'm looking for something thats going to knock down the loud idle and low rpm drone but be able to maybe wake up on WOT. I have done a lot of youtubing and came up with Borla XS. Any thoughts here? I also found some called Walker Quietflows but not sure if that will be too restrictive or not? I haven't heard them on a mustang yet.

Let me know what you have going on for your cop dodging exhaust setups.

Thanks!

Any chambered muffler (MAC, Flowmaster, Spintech, etc.) is going to be ridiculously loud without cats, even louder dumped. You're running probably the loudest exhaust set up possible. Look at a straight through muffler (non-chambered) like Dynomax. Steeda use to sell the Dynomax super quiet mufflers but I don't think they have them anymore. I'd get these with tailpipes and quiet it down. I've run dumps before and the drone is God awful. It's no wonder you're looking to quiet it down. Go to the 94-95 sticky in Tech and scroll down to the Muffler Shootout. It has about 18 muffler with decibel readings at WOT. Find one that's quiet but makes great power.

Lol thanks for the input. I like this part:

15.MAC, 87db at idle, 98db at 2,000 rpm, 119db at WOT.
16.No Muffler, 91db at idle, 103db at 2,000 rpm, MAX. (120+db).

Sooo you're telling me my MACs are almost as loud as no muffler... yeaa...i'd believe it.

Ok if i'm going for DB vs Power looks like this would be my best bet:
2.Hooker Maxflow, 80db at idle, 90db at 2,000 rpm, 120db at WOT.

But Bassani.. ohh yea those sound really nice. Also a bit $$ Looks like I have more youtubing to do. This info definitely has me on track at least, thanks a bunch!

Just as long as you don't go with the bassani race catback the bassani's are nice. I have the race catback that comes with real street mufflers. They drone terribly. I put some tailpipes and they still drone but they do have a great sound. Dynomax super turbo's are very quiet and are probably the best bet for a setup without tailpipes. The hooker maxflow is supposed to be very nice too.

Thanks. This has turned out to be the hardest decision to make so far lol. I really like some of the dynomax sounds I hear on the straight through but I have no tail pipes or anything to work with if I was to go this route. I would have to buy tail pipes and tips, then mufflers, then it may need some welding for proper fitment, sounds like a headache. I am in love with the Magnaflow Magnapack straight through sound right now and I've found it as low as $480 with free shipping.

This 94 sounds awesome! Also has a ORX and the db level seems acceptable.
