hey guys. i sold my previous subs and amp becasue i was gonna keep my NOS tank in my car at all times, but i sold the juice. so, now i need a new sub(s) and amp on a budget.
so, now im looking for a new combo and i would like suggestions. i am only looking for a MILD setup too.
I was thinking, and keep in mind that i really dont know much about car audio any more, that a nice Sony Xplode 12" with a 200 watt amp? that would put me around $200-$250, which is max what i wanna spend.

any ideas?

oh yeah, my front speakes are 3.5" aplines and rears are 5x7 pioneers.

Im not a big sony audio fan but that setup would probably be fine for what you are wanting. If you could score a JL aduio sub for about the same price as the Sony, I would do that. I think a 12 W0 runs about 150 bucks but im not positive...

you can also get infinity refrence subs for about the same money, and they are much beter subs. you need about 250 watts rms each (if you want two) and they are dual voice coil.

my suggestion is a infinity 1232w (dual voice coil 12") 250 rms
alpine mrpm350 350 watt rms mono amp, d class
and a sealed box.

retail you can get this stuff for $300, so if you look hard enough you most likley can find it around $200 online or on ebay.

i have sold and installed many of this setup, and it sounds great. even beter in a hatch back.

Instead of one set of inputs there are 2 on the sub. you will need to hook both of them up for it to work. You would want to hook them up so you get a 2 ohm load for the amp because that way you get the most power out of the amp.
