They need to be put on using a spribg compressor, they should also be mic'd to maake sure you install them all at the correct installed height and shim to have the correct pressure.
That sounds like a job for someone else I guess. Basic combo I put together off of corral's classifieds. 331 forged stroker in a stock block, afr 185s, fti cam and performer intake. Has the stock springs on them already, but i was told that i should go with these upgraded fti springs.
I'd check with Ed for the correct spring pressures and installed height. A good machine shop should be able to set them up for you relatively inexpensively. $ well spent if you don't know what you're doing. Be sure once you have them set up you 1) check for correct pushrod length, and 2) check the rocker geometry over the valve stem, and 3) check p to v clearance.
