I have a 94 Cobra with the suspension in sig. I have recently added the help of a Dyno Tune wet kit that I really love. I am wanting to ditch the stock 3.08's for something lower. I dont drive the car a lot, but I do like to take it cruising now and then. It is not really a drag car so I am torn between 3.73's or 4.10's. Right now I am running a 285 on a 18x10 on the rear but was thinking of going with a 305/45 which is 28in diameter.

So which gear would be good with the 28in drag radial and still give good cruising rpms? I have coilovers in the rear so I can adjust the height some for fitement.

I tried some drivetrain calculators, but I figured there would be people here that actually had this setup. Thanks!

Sorry, thought I had a sig. I have full MM Road and Track kit with coilovers for suspension right now.

Is the car a 5-spd or auto? Judging by what you want to get out of the car, I think 4.10's would give you a better kick with the 28" tires. I like my 3.73's, but it sounds like you will be running taller tires and are more into drag racing than having the car as a DD. Your rpm's will probably be around 2300 at 60mph with that setup, if its a 5-spd.

I like my 3.73's in my cobra. I wouldn't go any deeper than that with the stock heads cam and intake. The stock heads cam and intake just won't let you turn enough rpm to take full advantage of any more IMHO, However if you plan on doing heads cam and intake I might would consider going with more gear but with the 28 tall tires you might want to look at motive 3.90 gears as a happy medium.
