Decided the pull the bank 2 cam cover today. I figured there could simply be no other reason than I cam timing issue. I found a peice of the ****y plastic guide that had some how jammed itself under the cam and the head. Looks like it broke right at the top of the guide and is just chillin there. Seems like I would have heard a noise or some chain clacking when the engine was running but I neard no noises at all.
I'm about halfway through pulling the cover off now so I will post up what I find and hopefully, I can just get away with just replacing everything.
