And no, it wasn't ephedra. Replaced the stock battery that I weighed at 37 1/2 lbs with an Odyssey weighing in at 16 1/2 for a total of 21lbs. It's one of those light weight motorcyle batteries I thought I would give a try. I can always go back to a stock type battery if I have any trouble, but it's not a daily driven stang, so I hope I can get a few year out of it.. The rest of the 29lbs came off from the dogbone removal at 8lbs that I've been meaning to oust since my gears went in last spring.

Here are some pics of the new battery going in and installed. Hope you like.

Something tells me that may be a problem. I would imagine that a battery designed for a motorcyle with alot less electronics may have a problem handling a car with alot more electronics. Dont know though.

I'm giving it a go anyway. When comparing this battery to stock replacement battery it seemed to me that the reserve capacity is where it comes short. It's rated about half the minutes. To me, I won't be able to tailgate and run the radio as long as I used to and will have to start the car more often if I do. But cranking numbers are OK and seem to work fine for now.

Weightwatcher's recipies, cut down on the carbs and eliminate late night snacks. Now that spring is here get your excercise playing softball/baseball/basketball - whatever sport is fun for you. Your stang will be quicker in no time.

i had the same battery. it almost lasted a year. it did not make it through the winter. the cold cranking amps is where the problem is. it was fine in the warm months. i store my car in the winter so i didnt think it would be a problem. it still didnt make it though, even hooked to a trickle charger.

im back to the stocker. good luck though
