just got a letter from my state DOT, saying i have to surrender my car title and never drive my car on the street again
i bought the car 5yrs ago sn95 vert, put 10,000 mods in it
they said it was a total'd car that SF failed to title as total'd
when i bought it, the title was clean- it's been in a fender bender but frame straight, very little visible damage done
the state says i cant' have it rebuit title/ salvaged or any other type of title but '' junk''
i bougth new tires last week
i beat a porsche last week SCCA
it's a beutiful car with bolt ons bear breaks full MM suspension
the lady at the DOT said there was nothing i could have done, or can do now

it sucks but if it becomes to hard to get it sorted out, rip everything out of the car that you put in, buy another cheap car to put it all into. sucks and a lot of work, but it gets you past the title situation

sorry man....

I was thinking along the same lines when I read this post yesterday......if they get too time and $ consuming..........search and find another with "smoking" or tired engine and "transplant".............I don't agree with SF ......maybe I read the thread wrong but "how long have you been driving the car since the "accident"????? Here in OH you can salvage a title as long as you have receipts to prove the repairs....a co-worker is doing it right now with his GTP.....I know states differ.....I wish you well on the journey..

That sucks the big one. I knew my car had a salvage title on it when I bought it. I searched through the vin numbers to make sure mine wasn't on there.
Good Luck with the situation.

If theres that many people, then im pretty sure that they will throw it out if you had all the repairs done.

I mean they cant just take some peoples car away. (not really TAKE it but you know)
not all people can afford to go buy another car and they wont be able to sell the one that they cant drive anymore. They will be SOL.
