If your going to pull the sending unit there are a few things you need to know, so let us know. I don't feel like writing that much now.

Trish you can Drain /pull your tank and test your sending unit with an Ohm meter with out removing the sender just reach in the hole on the side with screwdriver lower and raise float on the inside or just tip upside down simulating full tank should read around 240 ohms empty I think around 10 full

ps you could always go with a universal guage and sender from summit racing as a last resort (mine leaks slightly)
