Lowering Springs?

Ok i am ordering some lowering springs and i am going to go with eibach sportlines, but i have heard of needing cc plates so when i order my springs what else do i need? And pics would be nice.

I have lowering springs on my notch with no CC plates and no bump steer kit. Car handles fine and drives fine. No need for them here.

Hopefully you won't need them. My alignment shops said my car aligned perfectly. They are right too...I can't believe how the car handles. It's the best handling car I got!

It's a good idea to get CC plates but you can get by without them. I've had mine lowered for about 4 years and never did get an alignment when i put the springs in and it's just fine.

yeah i have them but haven't gotten around to putting them on yet. my alignment is absolutely PERFECT. i can let go of the steering wheel and it'll drive straight as an arrow. of course, sportline's have more of a drop than most, so you MIGHT need them with those springs.

^^Same here, i've had a set of UPR's for almost a year and haven't put them on yet. I'm waiting to get new shocks and struts before i put them on.

No CCs here and my car sits low. I want some, but my alignment how is basically perfect as the car goes straight and the tires show no uneven wear.

I use the Eibach Sportlines as well. The car can be aligned within specs without caster camber plates. After lowering my Mustang the car I aligned it to factory specs. Upon driving the vehicle I noticed that it wanders when driving straight(I have to correct the wheel and make regular adjustments when driving straight). Many said that I had bumpsteer. But bumpsteer is when the vehicle shoots in either direction when the vehicle hits a bump and the car did not have any issues when hitting a bump. I had "wander not "bumpsteer". Dropping the car 1.5" with the Eibach kit will is not low enough to cause issues with bump steer. Anyways, the Maximum Motorsports CC plates allowed me to goe from 1.5 degrrees positive caster to 3.5 degrees positive caster. The additional caster gives the vehicle much better directional stability. Now I can let go of the wheel when driving straight and I don't have to constantly correct.

personally, they look great but i wasn't happy with the rubbing and ride quality. i have koni shocks/struts so rebound and absorbtion (if that's really a word) were great.

front rubbed horribly with 17x9s up front. i've had them for 7 yrs and drove the car maybe once a month at best.

I just put on the eibach pros and they're better.

I'm looking for new springs myself since one of my rears is broken atm.Those sportlines seem a little low for my liking.With my current springs (approx 1.5 drop) i didnt need cc plates and aligned damn near perfect.
