When u'r LT's went on did the sound of u'r car change? I know the exhaust gets quieter at idle and louder at wot but mine sound really off around 3000rpm. The best i can describe it is like a higher pitch drone and like i said it starts around 3000 and doesn't go away as the rpm's climb. Sounds as if there was a restriction in the pipes somewhere something like running an aftermarket cat. back system with the stock cat. pipe. Yes i know the Flowmasters drone but thats not the sound. The thing makes a lot of noise but not the right noise.

My exhaust set up is: Flowtech LT's, O/R H-pipe, stock cat. back pipes with Flowmaster 2 chamber Deltas.

Yeah that could be it. I can hear a small exhaust leak but not sure yet where it's comming from.

had magnapacks on my 2003 I installed BBK LT's and high flow cats about 3 months later all I can say is now its ABNOXIOUSLY LOUD now
I don't mind loud (had 1 chambers for 6 years) but it has to be the right sound and this just doesn't sound right.

do you like your flowtech exhaust? any fitment issues?
What i like:
The power improvment is very impressive. I heard that LT headers on the 4.6 make good power but i didn't think it would be that noticible. Off idle to about 3000rpm there is no difference but above that it pulls strong.

What i don't like:
I knew that i would have ground clerance issues and i do. My car is lowered about 1.5" and the vary first speed bump i came across i scraped and i was alone with 1/2 a tank of fuel. I think it's the collector to h-pipe flange that actually scraped. It's a 3 bolt flange on a 3" collector so it does take up some space. If u'r car is not lowered then i can't see there being any problems.

Yes there is a leak though i'm not sure if it's comming from the collector flange or where the primery tubes slip onto eachother. I had shop do the install so i can't comment on the fitment issues.

did u go straight over the speed bump or did you straddle it...going over it one wheel at a time (on an angle)?

Its coming from the slip fit on the primary tubes. If you go under the car and look where they slip into each other, does it have black ring there? If so its leaking right there. Just put some high temp silicon around it and let it sit overnight and it should be ok.

I went straight on with the speed bump cause i wanted to see if it'll clear that way and it didn't so my next try will be at an angle. I talked to the shop that did the install about the collector flange and they said they could cut it off and use a stainless band over the collector to h-pipe junction which would be somewhat flush with the pipes.

Another thing i thought about was shiming the motor mounts to raise the engine up a bit but that would raise the center of gravity. I'm not sure how that would effect my handling and thats what i'm into. I'm also changing my wheel/tire combo this weekend which according to my calculations should raise my car.
