i wish i could get the LT's myself but unfortunately i have to with the equal length shortie headers from BBK

How about sound wise? Do the mid-lengths and the LT's sound about the same? Currently I have stock manifolds, an O/R magnafow "x", and a Magnafow cat back, and do not really like the sound. Too loud, and too raspy. I also don't think the 4.6 sounds a little raspy without cams, I want more or a pushrod V8 sound. I have been debating about LT's, and a catted mid pipe, and then getting blower cams to hopefully get the sound I am after. If the mid lengths sound about the same as the LT's, it might make more sense to go that route.

If you know a friend that will give you an inspection, go with the LT.

Im gonna go with longtubes. I was told BBK are the way to go as far as price/quality, what do you guys think?

yes LT's is the best way to go IMO

dont even bother getting shortys on it unless its s/c'd, 5.0 magazine did a dyno after installing bbk shortys on a 99+ stang and got like 2hp out of it i think

The only advantage shorties has over LT's are their lesser cost and ease of installation. Even supercharged, a LT header will perform better than a shorty.

I always hear that article comming up about BBK shortie headers, But does anyone on this site have any actual dyno numbers of these headers on a 99+ GT???
