put a new X pipe and a 3" MAC catback on the stang last night. man ill never use another set of flowbastards again! the magnaflows that were on it hid the cam. i think it has a E cam becasue it is pretty mild.

I have/had MAC dumps.. I cut the dump tips off though and had a set of 3" flowmaster tails welded up. I've always had MAC mufflers on my stangs. Only 1 set of 2 chamber flows (on my red coupe but i bought them on there). I'm a big fan of MAC catbacks :nice:

IM SORTA WIT stykthyn :stupid:

:stupid:

nice and rumbly at idle and cruise but I can still hear the radio or hold a conversation and they are wicked at WOT

at idle Macs aren't as loud as FM they are more crackly and thumpy FM seem to have less range of sounds, then at WOT they are like no other with sun roof up windows down going under overpasses stomping on it in 3rd will make ur ears ring!, when your coming off the gas in 2nd 3rd or 4th it crackles and poppes loudly along with a sound thats hard to explain similiar to a nascar, all sounds are different with my built motor of course but even with other motor was my favorite, have to say FM seem one dimensional with Macs at times my exaust sounds like magnaflow. Also my car has and OR- HP and long tube headers

Thats the only muffler I will ever run. MAC is pure sex, especially with an X pipe. Gotta love it man. All my friends run MAC on their cars. My buddy has Long Tubes, 3 inch off road x into a 3 inch catback on his 11 second 85 and it sounds unbelievable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaU91zbl_QE\ the louder car is his car.

I have flows on my LX cause it came with the car but if I do switch, it will only get MAC. None other.

I had mac's before, couldnt tell them from flowmasters

Same here. Had a set on my notch when I first got it. Didn't care for the sound at all - Flowmaster-ish, but with more "gargle" to it - and the highway drone was driving me nuts. I'd pick MAC over Flowmaster just for tone, if I was forced to choose between the two, but I'm not a fan of chambered muffs in general, anyway, so ... as long as you're happy, that's cool. :nice:

Exhaust is an entirely subjective thing. Everyone has their own preferred sound, so there is no "correct" or "right" tone for everyone. So, indeed, the "to each their own" thing does apply. Talking smack on folks based on whether they do or don't like chambered mufflers is a little bit closed-minded. :notnice:

Crud, I am failing at keeping on top of stuff here. Did you get the vert back together or get a different car or what?

I was really close to getting macs also but i really like the way magnaflows sound so i got those, but macs do sound really sick.

Its good to hear that the magnaflows hid your cam also because i thought there was something wrong with my car when i started up my new motor.
