I have the chance to get a MAC catback with 3 1/2" tips or an American Thunder catback. From past threads I remember people saying that MAC out flows the Flows, but what about the quality. I know they're both chambered and also have heard that the MAC's sound sloppy. How do MAC's chrome tips hold up to corrosion and rust? Any feedback would be apreciated.

I have a 2000 GT and have had both systems. I currently have the Mac catback on there now. No problems and like the sound much better than flow master and the chrome shines just as new as it was last spring when I put it on. I would say if you had a 5.0 go with the flows but I like the Mac system on the 4.6. Hope this helps. :nice:

The only thing I worry about is rust on the tips. Do they use salt in Rhode Island? And how often do you clean them?

my mac sounds great and i don't have any rust (but i'm in southern ca so why would i?) the mac has a great sound and looks but i noticed that the fitment is a little off. no matter what i do, i can't seem to get the tips to stick out to the same length.
