The brown truck showed up to my house today :) I bought a MAC CNC shifter off ebay for 100 bucks and a Hurst T-Handle w/12v switch from a local performance shop.
Install took about 5 minutes and man...what a difference from the stock shifter. It has adjustable stops and the throw is so short! The stock shifter feels like you're shifting with a broom handle compared to this!

Just thought i'd update you guys on my latest mod!
 
Short shifters are fun :) I didnt' care much for my triax for a while. It was ok, but I was still grinding gears left and right. I got a BBK adjustable clutch cable and quad. Solved that problem. And for the noise problem I got a really nice B&M leather shift knob. Looks factory and is comfortable and everything. I'm really happy with it
