Made a "Responsible" Choice Tonight

Everyone would look at my tires screwed to the back rims with the nasty twist marks in the sidewalls and would walk away.

I get people always trying to mess with the 04, but I don't even look over at them. It's a waste of 3.50 cent gas no matter if they can beat me or not. Man, I remember when 100 octante sold for 3.49 a gallon.

Probaly... but I wasnt scared to lose. Most of them were Civics, Integras, 350's, saw an SRT-4... blah blah blah.

Im sure some of them were quick and could walk me but I garuntee you none of them could do a burnout like me... hahaha.

My car sucks from a dig because its traction limited... rolling in 2nd gear is where the fun is at for me. Or a 65-70mph downshift to 3rd is a nice one also.

Get some better gumballs.

you, this is in 2003, and with my old black relatively stock 02 GT. they've been out a long time. i was assuming they never saw the front of one, and im sure these kids would recognize it better if they just looked at the back of the car first.

I was raised on American cars and had several Stangs and a couple hot roded x-cop cars. The problem was I saw F&F and I kid you not I sold my GNX to buy a 300Z :( I went through severa rice cars, 7 of them being RX-7s 2 of which were turbos. I spent soo much money to make them fast it was rediculous. I never did the whole loud paint and sticker thing and the only body kit I ever did was a Stillen 300Z kit. After loosing in the 2+2 RX-7 and test driving the Vette I couldnt believe all the time and money I wasted on these little engines when a 19K stock used Vette was faster :nonono: After the Vette and a few other V-8s in between I bought an Audi S4 Bi-Turbo because I was the manager of Audi of Maui.
I lived in Hawaii and its all Filipinos and Japanese and Chinese over there so imports are huge and I always got pestered in my Audi cause all the ricers wanted to race it and it was the only one on the island. It was Negaro Blue and had a loud fartcan exhaust :ack: but it was fast.
I had the same thing happen just sitting in K-Marts parking lot and in no time I was surrounded by Civics and Accuras and a couple 3000GT and a whole lotta Eclipses all staring at me, I thought I had ketchup on my face :rlaugh:
Kid in a turbo Accura Intersomething comes up and pesters me to race, I tell him ok and he says that I have to start off in second gear :nonono: I laughed, started the car and shut down the ESP and slaped out the clutch at 5500 rpm and lit all four tires for a good 60' and left the lot letting them know if your gonna get an import get somethin German :nice:
But now that im on my fourth Mustang since then I will stay where Im at. Ive played with everything and Mustangs are just special to me:flag:

I didnt make a responsible choice. Last night me/wife/sis/bro in law were in the ole GT and his cousin met us at the light with his 04 Snake car. I tried and to no avail lost bad to that thing, just reminds me how slow my "Grocery Toter'" is compared to my old 600hp 429 equipped F-100. Oh how I miss the days of busting Cobras and GT's alike in a 76 pickup truck. When 110 octane hit 6 bucks a gallon that 3mpg, tire wasting, speeding ticket getting rig had to go. But when I get rich again and get an KB we will try again. Fun times in fun rides.

Find a wrecked MarkIIIV or even neater a Navigator with the DOHC 5.4 :nice: Your almost there and the car looks legit, a used 4V for 600-800 bucks would be killer :D

Thats not nearly as bad man. I admit to doing some stoplight action, but I use common sense behind it.

These guys were the kind that will race around/through traffic at speeds twice the speed limit and take out about 5-6 innocent people in the process.

What part of South Carolina are you in?

Lately i have zero desire to race.

If i get some little ricer next to me trying to race, I just slam on the brakes and tuck right in behind them. If they change lanes, i stay behind them. They usually get the point and fart away from me.

im still trying to figure out how doing a 2nd gear burnout is responsible....

sounds like your just as big a ricer as they are... im pretty sure you have a hat that you wear with the bill backwards and you were oakleys or a similar syle of sunglasses all the time...

people like you all is why i hang out with the high horsepower honda crowd... 300hp in 1800lbs is FTW and runs 7.0's in the 1/8th lol

These stories remind me of one of my own.

We were at a friends house one night hanging out when we walked outside and noticed all the ricers hanging out at a convenience store next door. So I had the ideal that my wife should get in her 90 and go harass them.
You should have seen it, it was so funny. My little wife that can barely see over the steering wheel gets out there on the highway, smokes the tires, slides in there sideways and stops behind them and gave it a good 6k rev and they all scattered like roaches.:rlaugh: I will never forget that as long as I live. We were literally rolling on the ground laughing. My stomach actually hurt from laughing so hard.

Well I know you dont know me personally so ill cut you some slack on that one...:nice:

I admitted that doing the burnout was irresponsible, but you cant compare that to a group of 20-30 teenagers street racing. No cars were around me, just wanted to piss them off, I was on an open road coasting along, revved it up a little and popped the clutch out, turned the tires over a little... no smoke or anything... but yes, that was not the responsible part of the story.

And no, I dont wear hats. The only hat I have worn is one my girlfreind bought for me, and I wear it the correct way. Havnt worn sunglasses since I was 10 or 11, im 20 now.

But people like me? Come on man. I have the same interest you do. Mustangs & racing. I came on here bashing the import kids who dont know ~~~~ about their cars or how to drive them.

I have installed every single part, and fixed every single problem on my car. It has NEVER seen a shop except for a gear install, which I left to an ASE certified buddy of mine. Thats not very ricer like.

I exclude myself from that crowd just as you do. There is a show/event called the "Drop Jaw Cruize" that bombards my city every Feburary. Nothing but slammed fart canned and winged imports tearing the streets up and generating enough revenue for our local PD for the next 5 years (not literally, but they do get a pounding) and I avoid them like a pleauge.

So before you judge and make comments like that, you should ask questions first, please.

A little update.

They were back out there tonight. I had to put some more air in my tire (nail) and as soon as I pulled up to the place there they were.

Only cars worth mentioning were an EVO and SRT-4. The Evo wasnt riced (any more than stock, lol) and the SRT-4 looked stock but he said he opened the exhaust up a little on it. Other than that, I spotted a new stock Civic Si, that same riced out one as the other night, the 350Z wasnt there... just a bunch of other sheet boxes.

I stopped to talk to one of the kids to see what they were doing, and they said racing (of course) on the road infront of the place... which is long and straight, but its super narrow, a concrete wall and a deep ditch on opposite sides. Plus the highway runs right next to it and there are always cops at that spot... So they are about as smart as a box of rocks.

About 7-8 of them swarmed around my car. They were astounded at the size of the 315's, I guess they didnt know a tire that wide existed.

One kid kept asking me to race the SRT-4. I told him no, and its not the fact that im afraid to lose, im just not into what you guys are doing.

I found out when they meet up so I know when not to go down that road, and I left.
