i'm slowly going to start collecting parts for my "Boostin" project and need your help.

i need 42lb injectors and a blow through Maf.

1. Is there a specific injector i should be looking for? i know i need EV1 style injectors but whats this about high impedence injectors? i found a guy selling a set of 42lb injectors for $50 canadian with the green tops.

2. i need a blow through style maf calibrated for 42lb injectors. looking for either a used Pro-m or a PMAS. which maf should i be looking for? theres the bullet style or a Univer. i was leaning towards the Univer but i've only seen them in 3in and 3.5in diameters. my tubing before and after the maf will be 2.5inch.

any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

One thing I have felt is wise to do is use stuff most peeps use.

A while back I had many pm's from this guy who needed help with his tune and I just could not help him.

He had maf ... I could not find a curve for ..........

Some kind of off brand inj's ... I had no known flow rate of delivery, offset values, etc

He even had some kind of hokey O2's that were not correct.

Myself or other self tuners I contacted just could not relate or have a way to go about helping this guy.

Those green tops sound like regular old FMS (Bosh) 42's

I have seen some of the tubo boys use the blow through Univer

IIRC, high impedence inj's are when you gotta go beyond 42's to like 60 something size.

Sounds like its time for you to start to lurk around on the turbo forums and get the scoop from those who have done it.

ok thanks guys.

i'm on turbomustangs.com everyday and try to rumage through using there search engine. alot of broken links since they switched to a different server a while ago

lots of people use both bullets and univer but i read lots of posts where people miss used there univer with smaller piping causing it to not get a good reading.

I am using a 3" pmas univ. It seems to work really good so far. It is 3" though. Any reason you are using 2.5" over 3" on the cold side?

I never knew that was your build i was watching LOL

i was doing some reading on turbomustangs.com and alot of people were running 2.5 diameter cold side. 3" can support 1200+hp so my top goal of 600 can be accomplished with a 2.5". this way i can keep all my piping the same size. (hot/cold size)

but now that you got me thinkin, i may just go up to the 3" diameter so i dont have to worry about getting reducer couplings for my intercooler because the inlets/outlets are 3". i will be running a 3" downpipe too.
