Maf conversion question

Just finished maf conversion on my 87 with a 24 lb calibrated 75 mm maf. I have 24 lb injectors but didn't put them in yet. I know I'm not totally done but car started right up but died right away unless I was giving it gas. I hope installing the 24 injectors will solve my dying after start. You guys know if this will solve the problem.

Maf and injectors must match, or you need a custom tune. You need to put the injectors in, or put a Maf for 19lbers on it

I'm hoping puting the matching injectors in helps. I'll put them in first shot I get.

it will. Disconnect your battery for 30 min to allow computer to start fresh with the swap

Also, as part of the MAF swap, did you run the extra 3 wires (2 to the VSS and 1 to the fuel pump relay)

Yes. Just didn't have time to do the matching injectors for the maf sensor. I just wanted to see if the car would start.
