I have read about the problems with using an aftermarket maf and it leads me to wonder. Do the 19# mafs have a similar function and curve to the stock maf?
What MAF's do you mean?
The stock Ford 70mm MAF mentioned by JR, uses nearly exactly the same MAF Transfer as the stock A9* MAF meter.
After market MAF meters are not all that bad.
There is potential for problems because you are 'tricking' the computer on both airflow and injector size.
The error in airflow can cause issues with timing and injector pulsewidths because of how the error can affect the Load calculation.
Many folks who run aftermarket MAF meters, never have any serious issues.
I am one of them... I have had great luck with my 73mm C&L.
Some will emphasize the 'luck' in that statement though
If you can get away with the stock 94-95 70mm MAF, I would suggest sticking with it.
If you do need the bigger injectors, then go ahead and go aftermarket on the maf. Most likely things will work out quite well.
