So. Cal. V-Town
 I don't get it. The nice deep drone is GONE :(

Don't get me wrong, my car souds SICK now and god does all hell break loose on WOT about 3000 RPM's. I guess I was hoping for a even louder, deeper and throatier sound. I know that it tood a few weeks for my Bassani to break in and it got alot deeper. Will my X break in and get deeper?

should of gone to mustangexhaust.com if you cared about sound that much.

I did.

You can't really tell the true sound sitting in front of a computer. I have a full 5.1 set up on my PC, but it's not the same. It's like buying a car online, you have to see it and drive it. I didn't have many options for a mid pipe either. Being in California and having crappy emissions to deal with. The magnaflow is the only mid pipe that has cats that will pass the sniffer. Bassani won't and MRT doesn't make an H for pre 99.

You also can't really "hear" your exhaust when you're in the car!!

Let one of your pals beat on your car while you stand outside and listen or follow in their ride.

Why not  ?? thats what everyone else is hearing when you get on it why shouldn't you hear it that way??

I'll bet it sounds pretty badass if I had a guess.

I guess It's because I just installed it. I do like the way it sounds, I was just expecting a deeper tone I guess. But like stated earlier, it should get deeper after it breaks in....or at least I hope. Either way, It still sounds sick.

I have Mac Flowpath mufflers, bassani o/r x-pipe and Mac LT's, obviously I'm partial but Mac mufflers are so deep and throaty, VERY DEEP and loud, it counters the X-pipe's high raspy noise and makes a great sound. Plus my LT's help as well. some of the catbacks out there sound like crap, they have no tone, no depth, they are just loud, more annoying then anything.

There you are.....

Where you been at man. I figured it just needed some break in time. I know my cat-bak took a few weeks before it broke in. I guess I just have to drive it some more. Oh shux :D

This doesn't regard sound but....
Might want to try resetting the battery also...not sure if it will help at all but worth a shot. I dont' know how the ECU works really but I'm lead to believe that if you reset the battery of the computer the computer will be triggered to adjust for the exhaust...who knows though...it might just adjust without being reset but there's no way to tell.

Going to unplug bat. now. Forgot to do it earlier. I was more focused on taking it for a drive and getting some beer :nice:
