Mas Air for 88GT 5spd

I have a stock 88GT, and I have thought about installing a Mas Air Flow sensor on thie intake. I have read through some posts and it sounds like you can get most of what you need from the (89-93) series cars. I have also noticed that people mention something about a computer. When they say replace the computer, do they mean replacing the EEC-IV Computer, or can you reprogram it somehow? I understand Mass Air would increase effiency but would it increase performance in my car?

It varies -$75-$150. Look on Ebay, sometimes you can buy a computer, MAF & harness for a reasonable price. If you have lots of $$$, check out Summit (www.sumitracing.com) for their complete kit.
