mass air conversion problems

so i converted my 87 to mass air this weekend using these directions MAF - Mustang Mass Air Conversion - StangNet - The Mustang Network
everything seems to be working but when i start the car after it has been running and warmed up it revs up close to 2,500 and then takes about 5-10 seconds to come down to about 1,000 rpm. Its weird that it only does it when its hot and it also did not do this when it was speed density. Anybody got ideas as to what my problem might be.

First thing to check is for codes. If no codes show up, just run it for a few days and let the computer "learn" and things should get better.

I say sell that piece of crap. That car is shot.

yea i put a few hours on it already guess i will hope for the best and keep driving it.

See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems. The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.
